Who I am
&
What do I do
I am a bilingual pop singer-songwriter writing in both Chinese and English. Through storytelling and emotional driven songwriting, I create songs revolving around themes of youth, memory, resilience, and personal growth for those who are going through periods of transition and self-discovery.
I have always believed that music is a powerful communication medium that creates space for mutual understanding, emotional connection, and self-healing. As an international student who has lived and studied across different cultural environments, I deeply empathize with the uncertainty one faces while navigating cultural identity, a sense of belonging, and self-discovery. During those periods of confusion in my life, music served as both a means of expressing myself to connect with others and a way of developing self-awareness. With that deeply rooted in my musical works, I strive to offer comfort, connection, and encouragement to young people who are trying to build new lives in a foreign land while searching for a sense of identity and belonging
Why do I do it
My music journey began from classical piano training since a young age, which provided me a foundation of musicianship and has a profound impact on my later development as a musician. As I grew up, I was primarily influenced by Mandopop, especially its capacity for storytelling through songs. I was also inspired by the melodic technique of J-pop and the contemporary sounds of Western music. These influences have shaped my songwriting styles, which combines storytelling, emotionally resonant themes, and accessible pop-oriented melodies.

How did I get here
My long-term goal is to use music to help foster confidence, self-understanding, and a stronger sense of belonging. Through creative and community-based participatory musical experiences, I aim to support young people who are building new lives in new environments, helping them recognize that their stories, identities, and experiences have value. In the meantime, I believe music can serve as a bridge between cultures that fosters dialogue and mutual understanding. Ultimately, I aspire to create musical spaces where people can celebrate their own identities while building connections across cultural boundaries, fostering communities that are both inclusive and deeply connected.
